AgriViro = agriculture and environment in harmony

Our company

AgriViro is an agricultural biotechnology (AgBio) company that is committed to developing agricultural solutions that are not only effective, but also sustainable and environmentally friendly. Our name reflects our core belief that the future of agriculture depends on a more holistic and integrated approach, in which agriculture should be in harmony with the environment, and should not harm it: AgriViro = Agriculture and Environment in harmony.

Our focus has been on the development of biopesticides that enable profitable and eco-friendly farming. Our portfolio of biopesticides provides farmers with an effective and safe alternative to synthetic chemical insecticides.

At AgriViro, we are proud of our team of experts who are dedicated to developing innovative AgBio products that promote sustainable and regenerative agriculture and support the long-term health of our planet and its inhabitants. We are committed to making a positive impact on agriculture, the environment, and society as a whole.

We strive to identify novel ways to improve crop yields and reduce the environmental footprint of agriculture.

By combining cutting-edge science with a deep commitment to sustainability, we believe we can transform the agricultural landscape and create a more sustainable future that benefits farmers, consumers, and the planet.

Our strategic location

Being based in South Africa is advantageous for AgriViro for several reasons. Firstly, the country’s favourable climate provides ideal conditions for the cultivation of crops and allows year-round assessment of biopesticides. Additionally, South Africa has a rich biodiversity, which can be harnessed to discover new sources of biopesticides. Moreover, the country has a well-established agricultural industry, providing access to a large market of potential customers for AgriViro’s products. Lastly, South Africa’s strategic location at the southern tip of Africa provides AgriViro with easy access to other African markets, which are increasingly recognizing the importance of sustainable agriculture.

AgriViro has the opportunity to enter the European and North American markets and increase exports due to the growing demand for eco-friendly agricultural practices in these regions. AgriViro’s ability to benefit from comparatively low labour and manufacturing costs, as well as favourable exchange rates (such as USD to ZAR or EURO to ZAR), are important factors that make the commercial export of biopesticides from South Africa attractive.
